John Gall is a designer, artist, author, and teacher. He is presently the Creative Director for Abrams Books. Prior to that he spent 15 years as art director for Vintage and Anchor books, designing covers for the likes of Haruki Murakami, Vladimir Nabokov, McSweeney’s, and lots of other famous and not so famous writers. He has served on the board of AIGA/NY and teaches a course on book design at the School of Visual Arts.
