A panel of four publishers and editors specializing in architecture and design-book publishing in the U.S. and Europe talk about the state of their industry and the illustrated book—and the direction—or directions—these are taking. Whether you’re a publishing professional, an author, or an avid purchaser, reader, or collector of design books, you’ll want to hear what these luminaries in design-book publishing have to say.
The panel includes:
- Justin McGuirk, Director, Strelka Press, London. Strelka is the publishing arm of Strelka Institute for Media, Architecture and Design, based in Moscow
- Lars Müller, Founder and Publisher, Lars Müller Publishers, Zurich
- Dung Ngo, Senior Editor for Architecture and Design, Rizzoli International Publications, New York
- Julius Wiedemann, Executive Editor for Design and Pop Culture and Director for Digital Publications, TASCHEN Publishing
Moderated by Julie Iovine, Architecture Columnist, The Wall Street Journal, editor, and author.
This program was developed in collaboration with the Van Alen Institute.
Following the program, audience members will be invited to specially designated areas in the Exhibition Hall for book signings and informal conversation with the speakers.
